physical flaws,
Edward's face is too skinny and his features are quite angular. His skin is also a bit pale, which makes people think he is either albino or is sick.
general appearance,
Edward is considered as a 'quite handsome boy' by most of the girls he has met. He doesn't have this kind of absolute inhuman beauty, but he is certainly a little above average. When people see him as a whole, they think Edward is rather flawless, but, as they take one or two steps closer, they usually notice it is not like that.
Edward's face is rather skinny for someone of his size, which gives the impression he hasn't fed for days. His jaw and cheek bones are quite angular, this making his face 'squarish'. He has reddish brown hair, sometimes described as bronze colored, which he got from his mother. Edward usually doesn't comb his hair, and often shows up with the 'I-Just-Got-Up' hair style at the school. Concerning appearance, Edward took after his father the most, including height, skin tone and eye color. His eyes are certainly the part of his body Edward is most proud about, since they are on a beautiful shade of emerald green. His eyelashes are quite long, which makes it look like he is about to fall asleep. He has got a thick, and sometimes messy, set of eyebrows; they are slightly darker than his hair. Another feature Edward got from his father. Even though he is quite tall, Edward is far from being considered the athletic kind of guy. He is not muscular at all, since he doesn't work out or anything that might give his body a better shape. However, he is not the skinny hourglass guy either. Edward always cares for keeping his column on the right position. He is also horribly pale, which can be quite weird for someone who used to live in Jacksonville, Florida. Because of the pale tone of his skin, people often think Edward is either albino or horribly sick. However, he doesn't really care about that, and refuses to spend hours under the hot sun so people would stop saying that.
Now, moving on to Edward's clothing style. Edward prefers clothes that are somehow more... conservative. However, this doesn't mean that he walks around with ties, Italian shoes or anything like it (mostly because his family can't really afford Italian shoes). Edward is more like wearing a simple T-shirt, jeans and some decent looking sneakers. He is not really into skulls, chains, tatoos, piercings or anything like it, like most boys of his age are. Edward also doesn't like way too formal clothes, or outfits that would make people look at him. He prefers to be plain, so he can mix with the crowd and walk around unnoticed.

overall personality,
Edward can be basically described as the silent guy. One of the most noticeable features on his personality is the fact that he seems to be way more into himself than into the other ones around him. This means he barely talks and is way more concerned about the inner monologues that happen inside his head. He hates to have the spotlight on him, and does his best to mix with the crowd and walk around unnoticed. He hates when people stare at him for too long, it's deeply, utterly annoying to him. The only thing that can be worst than being looked at is being the topic of the conversation, at least to Edward. Sometimes, he wishes he were invisible, mostly because he seemed to be so 'warmly' welcomed at Jackman High. Lots of girls seemed to have fallen for him, but he doesn't enjoy all the attention he is getting because of it. In fact, Edward truly doesn't understand why the girls wouldn't back off and start crushing the Swan boys, who were certainly way more dazzling than he was.
Edward gets nervous pretty easily. He has the sometimes annoying tendencies to overreact over the silliest situation. People can easily notice when he is nervous, because he is constantly chewing his nails, one habit he is convinced to quit. Edward isn't as brave as the other guys of his age. He hates horror movies mostly because he doesn't feel very well at the sight of blood, and he is also scared of things boys of his age usually find amusing, such as dogs or ridiculously big animals. In his whole life, Edward had never really fell in love with no one. Yes, he had some crushes, but it was never serious or whatsoever. He hates high school, and the pressure they put on the students. Edward is also a very analytical kind of guy. He analyzes each detail of the situation before making any move. Of course, this just work during tests, exams and things like that. When the situation is dangerous and really demands concentration, Edward's mind goes spinning, since he can't handle pressure very well. Edward's not really fond of cars, but yes, he enjoys good sport cars. Of course, he would never really want to own one, firstly because he can't afford it, and secondly because it could draw the spotlight for himself.
Edward has some ego problems, according to the people who know him. He can be rather proud sometimes, and, even though he would do anything to help someone, he would never ever accept help for himself. This can be rather annoying sometimes. He often thinks he is somehow better or more intelligent than the people around him, and is capable of starting an argument if someone says otherwise. Of course, the fact that Edward met Isabella; someone who actually couldn't be explained by the so far known laws of physics, was really a huge crash to his growing ego.

history,
Edward Anthony Masen Cullen (born Dwyer) was born on April 16th to Renee and Charles Dwyer at Jackman, Maine. He spent the first three months of his life there and then moved to Jacksonville, Florida, because of his father's work.
When Edward was eleven, his parents got separated, and Renee Dwyer (who changed her name back to Renee Cullen after the divorce) went back to Jackman, leaving Edward with his father Charlie Dwyer. For many years, Edward lived happily with him, always spending summer vacation in Jackman with his mother. However, Charlie decided to get married again, and he quite enjoyed the idea at first. However, since his father's new wife had to move a lot from place to place because of her work, Edward decided it would be better for the couple (and for him as well) if he just moved over to his mother's. That's how Edward ended up being the 'new guy' in Jackman, Maine. Because of his introverted personality, Edward thought it would be quite difficult for him to adapt himself to the new school and lifestyle. However, it turned out that he had more attention than he would like to have during his first day at school, including some attention from lots of girls of his high school year. He didn't get interested in any of them, though they could be great friends if they got closer. Since the beginning, Edward didn't seem to understand why the girls even cared to look at him and not at the Swan boys, who were certainly way more dazzling than he would ever dream to be. Of course, as he had learned on his first day at Jackman High, they were all taken, but it was not like many girls cared about that, right? This was high school, for God's Sake.
It was quite easy for Edward to get used to the flow of his new school, and in the first day, he had already a bunch of friends to sit with during lunch time. Things at home also went quite smoothly. Edward had spend a relatively short time with his mother when he lived with Charlie, and he noticed how much he could really get along with her when he moved in. Renee was exceptionally happy about Edward's decision, and was very welcoming. They had lots in common, and Edward quickly realized how much he had really missed his mother. Both of them enjoyed silence, so they never had any sorts of awkward conversations, since they only spoke to each other when they really had something interesting to talk about. In fact, Edward grew so attached to his mother that he even let her change his last name, that used to be Dwyer, to Cullen, so they could really sound like mother and son.
But probably, one of the most important events on Edward's life hapenned on his Geometry class, during his first day at Jackman High School. He didn't have anyone to sit with since all the pairs were already decided, and he had to pair up with dazzlingly beautiful Isabella Swan. He couldn't help to feel honored by sitting next to such a perfect angel, but that changed in a few minutes. Edward noticed the murderous glances Isabella kept sending him during the class, and it was incredibly hard for him to concentrate to what the teacher was saying, and, even though Geometry was his worst subject and Edward should be paying lots of attention, he couldn't focus on anything more than the girl who seemed to dislike him so much. Isabella kept sending him those glances during all the course of the class, making Edward wonder if there was anything wrong with him. This was the first time he ever felt intimidated by a girl who was almost a foot shorter than him. Edward spent lots of wasted afternoons trying to understand what the hell was wrong with him, trying to imagine a logical reason why someone would seem to hate him so much before even meeting him. He was decided not to let what happened twist his mind too much, but he couldn't help it. Now, we should find out where this all will lead to.
*how we do,

anything else, I'm sorry if I got the name of Edward's parents wrong. It's just that I got a little confused, tell me if I need to edit the history. Also, I focused on what happened recently to him, and not that much about his early years. Tell me if you want that changed. And also, I'm sorry about the lousy sample. I just made it up.

*how we do,
rp sample,
So, that was it. High School. Again.
Lots of people had tons of reasons to adore high school. Those were probably the 'popular' people. Well, if you have tons of friends (and enemies -- but that wouldn't fit the argument), and everyone knows you, why not to love high school? Now, as for the so called 'unpopulars'... Patience. That's all they need. After all, it is just four years. It should pass pretty quickly, if you focused on the bright side. Because it doesn't really matter if you were ignored as a freshman, unpopular as a sophomore, nerdy as a junior or popular as a senior. In nothing more and nothing less that four years, everything would be over, and everyone would be free. And they would tell their sons and grandsons the stories about how much they were loved or hated during those four years that would be forever printed on their hearts, no matter the reason. Well, that was what supposed to happen. At least to normal people.
Strangely enough, things were different with the Cullens. Maybe because they weren't normal people, who got their normal breakfast and left again for another normal day. Normal people are done with high school in four years. But how long does it take to the 'not-so-normal' people, like the Cullens? Surely a lot more. So, that one day, it was not like they could call 'A New Beginning'. It was more like... Another new beginning. Another junior year. Alice just could hope this new beginning wouldn't end like it always did. She wished that, for once, something new could happen.
Alice got through the first classes with relative difficulty. Not because what the teacher was saying was too hard for her too understand, but because it was too hard to focus in what the teacher was saying. The books Alice had open on her table would never bring her any sorts of new information, so she had tons of reasons to get really bored. If she were human, Alice could even fall asleep. Actually, that was because she had developed the habit of writing every single word that came out from the teacher's mouth. Whoever might watch her probably thought that Alice was the most dedicated student ever. Yeah, right. Alice did this merely to keep herself occupied. The fact that everyone seemed to think she was entertained with the class was only profit.
As soon as the bell rang, Alice left the classroom and made her way to the cafeteria. Grabbing an apple she knew she wouldn't eat, along with a bottle of water, Alice walked toward the usual 'Cullen Spot'. Lunch time was probably the moment she enjoyed the most while she was at school. That was when the Cullens could talk and exchange some new information. Even though they weren't always that new, since everything always went the same way. However, as Alice talked with Jasper and her other siblings, she couldn't help to notice Edward's interest and curiosity toward some girl. Not only Alice was pretty good in noticing expressions, she also had a gift that helped her a lot in that area.
Isabella Swan, the new girl in town. Only God knew why Edward had taken interest on that girl.
