The season is winter and the year is 1840, three years into the reign of Queen Victoria, it is a period of prosperity for the British people, as profits gained from the overseas British Empire, as well as from industrial improvements at home, allowed a large, educated middle class to develop. Our story beginnings with the Winter Ball at Pemberley, all are expected to attend and it should be a grand event. Many wonderful experiences await your characters in this exciting period, from the highest Lord to the lowest chimney sweep. What does your future hold? In a time where the electricity is a future dream, cars do not exist and the mode of communication is letters, sent by horse and rider, your character must tread their path through this intriguing and wonderful Era in time!
